BRONZE WAISTCOAT REPORTS - 2007/8

Falmouth Bronze Waistcoat Tour - Event 4

WATSON TRIPLE WINNER

23rd March 2008
Daniel Watson won a third consecutive West of England Billiards & Snooker Bronze Waistcoat event to increase his lead in the overall Falmouth rankings. His opponent in the final this time was Zac Lawson whom he beat 2-0. Lawson jumps from 4th to 2nd place in just ahead of George Leakey who moved up from 6th to 3rd. The biggest mover was Jack Pledger who went from 11th to 6th. It was a good day for the Pledgers that cumulated in Jack beating Harry in the semi finals.

Group A was won by Daniel Watson who went undefeated on the day. Runner-up was Zac Lawson, losing just the one match to Watson. The other qualifiers being Josh Byrd and Phil Morgan. Group B proved a tighter affair with Adam Lawson winning the group by virtue of a single loss. Jack Pledger came in second on frame count back in front of brother Harry and George Leakey.

Club Proprietor and Tournament Director Paul Williams said "Daniel Watson has increased his lead at the top of the rankings but the rest are hotly contesting the remaining places. Jack and Harry Pledger did well this tournament." Anyone interested in playing in this tournament should visit the WEBSF web site www.websf.co.uk
