Redruth Bronze Waistcoat Tour - Event 3

RETALLACK MAKES FINAL IN BRONZE DEBUT

27th January 2008
The 3rd Redruth WEBSF Bronze Waistcoat took place at the Illogan Highway Institute. The story of the day was debutante 15 year old Tom Retallack from St.Keverne who made the final at his first attempt eventually losing to the experienced Jake Stewart who made it a hatrick of wins. Stewart played well throughout the tournament with several breaks 32,30,27,27 & 24 and is looking a good bet to retain his regional bronze crown. All players conducted themselves in a very sporting manor and all gained invaluable match experience. Area WEBSF Coach commented on the high level of safety play on display in many of the matches. The tournament Director for the day was another WEBSF Coach, Vic Wills. Thanks to The Illogan Highway Institute for the use of their excellent facilities.

The next Redruth Bronze will be at The Redruth Royal British Legion on Sunday February 17th 10.15 am start. Any player under 16 interested in playing in this tournament should visit the WEBSF web site www.websf.co.uk or email websf_uk@yahoo.co.uk
