BRONZE WAISTCOAT REPORTS - 2007/8

Redruth Bronze Waistcoat Tour - Event 5

STEWART REDRUTH BRONZE CHAMPION

27th April 2008
Jake Stewart potted well to win his Fifth Bronze Waistcoat. However, he needs to remember to use his B game at times and show patience early on in the frame, says WEBSF Are Coach Paul Broad. Stewart has dominated the Redruth Bronze this season and was presented with a trophy by Paul Broad who would like to see Stewart test himself in the WEBSF Silver Waistcoat next season. In the final Stewart beat the fast improving Alex Wills who played solid snooker throughout to reach the final. In a hard fought match he narrowly defeated ten year old Brett Broad which ended in a black ball game. In the semi finals Stewart beat Aiden Johns, who has excelled in the Bronze this year, to finish runner-up in the final ranking table he also received a trophy. In the other semi final Wills beat Jamie Edwards who never really settled into the game this tournament.

A big thank you to all players who entered the Redruth Bronze this season and also thank you to the Royal British Legion the Clinton Social Club and Illogan Highway institute for providing their facilities and to the parents for their support. We look forward to meeting up with Exeter, Plymouth and the `new boys` from Falmouth at Victoria Snooker Centre on Finals Day.

Any player in the Redruth area that is under 16 and interested in playing in this tournament should visit the WEBSF web site www.websf.co.uk or email websf_uk@yahoo.co.uk
